The title of my post is one line taken somewhat out of context (but not out of meaning) from an article called "The Vanishing Republican Voter" by David Frum in the New York Times. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/07/magazine/07Inequality-t.html?pagewanted=1&_r=3&ref=magazinehttp://www.yahoo.com/ . . . more

Thanks for the friend request.. I see see we have several things in common. Photography for one. But I fear our political view are different. However, I'm ok with agreeing to disagree about politics and not being disagreeable. And you?

Hi, this is your Monday morning wake up ping to let you know I am enjoying my Gather friends!
Today is my birthday. I don't like it much to be having another one but it is better than the alternative. Went to dinner and summer theater in a small, nearby town and picked out a leather hobo purse in a store that specializes in cowboy boots. I was supposed to pick out boots since I'm a shoe fanatic but I'm also pragmatic and I'm not the cowboy boot sort. The bag has a secret compartment for my concealed weapon. Since I don't care for guns much, I was asked what was I going to put in there. Silly man -- my credit cards, of course!
Red and orange zinnias, blueberries and peaches were the highlight from the farmer's market. I'll try to post a picture. Did I mention that we are painting? Yes. One room has led to another which is turning into the whole house.
Have a great day.

Hi David, when I hear someone ignore RW radio they are invariably not from the areas where it is the only thing to listen to and they always underestimate it influence in the vast American midwest and outside big cities. Dont' make that mistake.,

David,
I just viewed a fascinating discussion on the American Presidency. The program was held at the Massachusetts School of Law and was conducted by four panelists. You might want to catch it on
C-SPAN2 if you can. If you can't, see if you can get the book entitled The Culture of the Presidency by Gene Healy of the Cato Institute.

Hey David, I've been gone for a while, but I'm back. I'm sitting around (not really) hoping that the country (US) doesn't consolidate its crazy turn to the right by electing Mccain (I'll pick a fight with whoever I bump into Mccain, that is) in Nov... If you're an environmentalist, you've got your job cut out for you...
